First public apperance

Thursday and friday 17-18th of januari we had a pre-show with the work done so far at K3 at Malmo University, Sweden. The exhibit turned a lot of heads and the members of the city council showed up and took contact information for further communication.

The show also gave us toons of feedback regarding the interface and what needs to be tweaked and changed. The show premiered a crude alpha of the project with lots and lots of stuff missing but with the basic interface and environment to see how intuitive the interaction is.

Environment and sound

A handful of organisms.

Here are some early animated organisms that will go into the final project. They’re basically animated 2d shapes that move along a bezier curve.

Still on the to-do list is different shapes and colours of organisms aswell as smoother animation of the organism itself.

The first look at the corals

Bare in mind these are the crudest of sketches…

You will notice that the water environment from yesterday is not yet implemented in this.

These corals will eventually be simplest type of corals (there are layers of them). In the video they generate all over the place but it will be controlled by CV in finished version.

Progress!

This is our first beta of the water environment. this is a crude sketch without any corals or fishes. This code was written* by Samson Wiklund.

The team has grown as Korean foreign exchange student Keun Gook Seok has joined the team.

At the time, Fernando LBarrajon is working together with Keun Gook Seok with computer vision, Andres Göransson is creating animations for fishes and Samson Wiklund is trying to simulate the underwater experience.
